Iron ingots are a Sturdy Ingot that can be used by a Blacksmith to craft high tier metal items including armor and weapons.
Iron ingots are made in an Iron Forge by filling it with Iron Ore, Quicklime and an Ingot Mold.
Iron Forges can only be turned on by a Blacksmith.
One quicklime and 20 iron ore produces 10 iron ingots and 2 slag.
A byproduct of smelting an iron ingot is slag. Slag is used by a Farmer to create the highest quality fertilizer, "Slag Fertilizer".
